Occupation Software Engineer
Education B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin
As a widow and mother of two, I've had to balance the expectations of work and family life. I've learned to mediate conflict, and be both compassionate and strict. As an engineer, I've learned to be a critical thinker, and to absorb new information every day. I have lead teams with many people, and had to handle conflicts between them.
We need a fair, competent judge that is neither conservative nor liberal, someone who can remain non-biased. I also feel the Justice of the Peace should uphold the law of the land and marry people, regardless of their sexual orientation.
The Justice of the Peace court is different than other courts, in that it is the "Peoples Court". Many of those coming before the Court are not lawyers. It is the role of the judge to navigate the legal system to achieve justice for all.
