As a sitting judge i would refer this question to the county Atty. Office, I do know that this court has consistently taken the public needs and concerns into consideration, all the while staying within the law. As to providing legal advice, this court will not do that, but we will advise to seek legal advice, and define proper procedures and requirements of the court and to remind them of their rights as pro se litigant or to be represented by competent counsel. We always advise every one of the right to appeal, and the right to have a jury hear their case.
To continue to reach out to students to encourage them to stay focused, stay in school, and continue their education. To work with each person that comes into the court, in a professional, and respectful manor. To make the procedure of JP court understandable, and to ensure their rights are clear and just. Our court will be a kinder court for all and ask that have the same respect for the court. Finally a more open court where everyone gets an opportunity to be heard.
