I've been raised here most of my life & have lived in District 5 most of my life. I graduated from Hirschi High School. I was an aircraft mechanic at SAFB 80th flying training wing and worked on all the training planes (T-38,T-37 & the T-6 turboprop). I have a passion for my hometown & the people that live in it. I have worked close with base personnel.
#1 I would like to lower property taxes. I recognize Wichita Falls is a town of working poor. 20% of our town lives in poverty and 67% of our ISD students are economically disadvantaged. I think any city council should strive to lower property tax rates to offset any tax appraisal increases and keep a tight budget.

#2 more water resources. The drought scared people and opened eyes that water is scarce and precious.

#3 Improving city identity and public relations with our community
We need sustainable plans that promote growth combined with conservative spending. We need to make sure we get the most out of every dollar and be good stewards of the finances.
We need business friendly city ordinances. We need to help small to medium businesses with their permits. I think trust is the biggest issue with citizens and government. We need to win the citizen's trust.
