Proud 1977 graduate of Texas Tech University
I have been on 24 hour call as a Justice of the Peace for 28 years, presiding over more than 130,000 criminal cases, 33,000 civil cases, 9,400 evictions, and hundreds of other court related matters. I have worked for and against legislation in Austin, and serve as "answer man" on all things J.P.
In addition to the matters listed above, peace bonds, hot checks, dangerous and abused animal hearings, driver's license revocation hearings, stolen and seized property hearings, and felony filings and arraignments. My predominant expertise is in civil litigation under $10,000. It is expected that jurisdictional limit will increase to $20,000 in the very near future
