I am a historian and am trained to process lots of pieces of information to understand the big picture and the major trends. I think outside the box to come up with new insights and new solutions. I am an entrepreneur and founder of Powerflow Power Systems LLC, which aims to create new power solutions for East Africa.
In Texas law, a landowner has full right to underground water. This is the first Water District in Texas, established in 1951 by the people of West Texas to ensure the land’s inheritance for our children and the agricultural economy. The Water District Director acts as a good steward, which means caretaking for current and future needs. The Director represents people’s choices on minimum distances between wells and agreed-upon limits on water use

I worked for nearly 43 years at the water district before retiring in 2011. I ran for the board in 2014 and was elected I am running for re-election.I was able to get a rule change that resulted in a savings of $20 to $50 MILLION to exempt well owners. Voted for a true tax cut the last 3 years. Proven,Effective,Leadership
Responsibilities include making sure the rules are followed equally across the board. Approve a transparent budget which is not being done and to make sure the tax money is being spent wisely. I voted against the budget the last 3 years because it was not transparent enough.More important the HPWD is charged with protecting, preserving and conserving aquifers within the District's service area. Proven,Effective Leadership is what I am about.
